Although we like almost everything about this miniature golf game, the stingy trial limitation steals some of its thunder. Miniverse MiniGolf puts an outer-space spin on the classic Putt Putt game, as all of its courses are located on some far-off planet. This program's graphics are top-notch, especially in terms of background scenery. For example, when playing one snowy hole, we were stunned at just how detailed the barren trees and their accompanying shadows appeared. The holes also are quite challenging, with low pars and obstacles such as conveyor belts and sand traps. The atmospheric sound effects also don't disappoint, though we chose to disable them due to the irritating beep that accompanies each shot. Other user-customization options include the ability to play with up to four other players, choose your ball color, and putt in both windowed and full-screen modes. Hitting the ball using your mouse takes some getting used to, but the learning curve isn't unreasonable. Despite all these pluses, Miniverse MiniGolf's trial version restricts you to a scant three holes, so most users will exhaust the demo quickly. However, if you plan to spend money on a mini-golf simulation game, we think you'll be pleased with what you see here. Miniverse Golf Copyright notice: Pirated Software Hurts Software Developers. The first issue of “Moscow Art Magazine” appeared in September 1993. In June 2005, “MAM” published its first English language digest, summing up more than a decade of the magazine's existence. Since then, no more than three years have passed, but there are good reasons to see this period as a new phase, both for Russian art in general, and for “Moscow Art Magazine” in particular. One may doubt whether the Russian state is really justified in heralding this period as one of “stabilization,” as it has done again and again in recent years. It seems obvious, however, that nothing equivalent to the themes of the current artistic discussion ever appeared in the previous period; moreover, it is quite clear that all these themes more or less stem from the entrenchment of the new regime. Critical commentary diagnoses the situation in post-Soviet space as “the meeting place of two disintegrating worlds. On the one hand, the current neo-Russian order. Welcome to our Reader's Digest 2005 category. We sell Back Issues, Used Magazines, Past Issues and Old Mags at competitive prices, most orders ship next business day. GLOBAL EDUCATION DIGEST 2005. 4 global level, the equivalent of four in five children participate in lower secondary education. This is largely the result of rapid expansion in secondary education in the 1990s. In South America, the rate of secondary growth rose fastest, and the number of students doubled, from 21 to 43. If you do not have a copy of Adobe Reader, you can download and install a free copy from Adobe. Though it could be defined as a new regime, is also really an epilogue to the Soviet system’s collapse. A new system has yet to emerge, and the old system is in its final stage of disintegration. Yet on the other hand, contemporary capitalism is understood as a recipe for how to salvage or renew this disintegrating structure. But capitalism is also undergoing a disintegration of its own. So in that sense, the post-Soviet situation can be conceptualized as a meeting of two degenerates, two systems devolving in very different ways. These leads to very strange paradoxes when one system's symptoms of degeneration are misunderstood as forms of renewal or salvation, as paradigms of vitality, dynamism, life, and modernity” (Boris Kagarlitsky “A Meeting of Two Degenerates.”). And really, as cultural policy under Putin shows, the state is trying to demonstrate just how modern it is, though the result is “little more than an imitation.” In discussing the Second Moscow Biennial, for example, critics agree that “it strives to reproduce all the most status-laden, flashy elements of a popular international mega-show without taking the trouble to change or reconfigure anything. The curators were engaging in intentional and even exaggerated profanations. This was basically an adequate way of catering to the lowered expectations of the biennales sponsors, Moscow’s cultural bureaucracy» (Dmitry Golynko-Volfson “A Biennale of Comfortable Complacency”). Yet nevertheless, no matter what the result, the state’s increasingly active involvement in cultural space “is largely determining artists’ strategies today. However, what has only recently been a lively and stimulating process, is now becoming ossified, which is manifest in the obvious predilection for glamour, industrial design, and ingenuous commercialization, when the motifs of power and ambition begin to prevail over creative, existential and cultural-critical ones.” Thus, the art scene is once again being confronted with a state-run culture industry, which implements a new type of stratification. “There is a space of global proportion and total ambition, and there is a space of gesture that could be described as anthropological in its scale.” And the choice between these two spheres is not only artistic since “it is precisely this ‘small’ space that permits the moral and ethical issues to resound distinctly and clearly. In fact, it even forces us to make a moral choice. Whereas the space of big socio-political and global-market messages involves rigid external constructions of cynicism and base intents.” (Dmitry A. Prigov “Spaces of Utterance/Spaces of Survival”). This has been the focus of discussion in recent years: how does one construct “spaces of utterance/spaces of survival” in opposition to power? Which form of resistance is most effective under the present conditions? For some, the current situation as an occasion to actualize the tradition of direct resistance and political satire (Dmitry Vilensky “They say.”). For others, the current developments have occasioned a return to the tradition of the Frankfurt School and the Adornian theory of the “autonomy of art.” After all, “with the ideal of “careful formulation,” art criticizes capitalism by the very fact of its existence. The concretized artistic image criticizes its own relativity and its own limitations, demonstrating them on its own material.” (Anatoly Osmolovsky “The Ethical Code of Autonomy”). Slovenian-German dictionary Slovenia – not to be confused with Slovakia Slovenia? What’s the difference, again? Caution: Anyone mixing up Slovenia with Slovakia will quickly make themselves unpopular with the locals. Especially considering that Slovenia has been an independent nation for more than 15 years since the breakup of the former Yugoslavia; the time shared with Slovakia as part of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy is even further back in time. Admittedly: given the similarity in languages, this can also happen quite quickly. Slovenians refer to their native tongue as slovenščina, Slovakian as slovaščina. Conversely, Slovakians call their own language slovenčina while using the almost identical slovinčina for Slovenian. For anyone who can keep this clear in their mind, the rest is actually quite easy. And for anyone getting started, the Slovenian-German online dictionary from Langenscheidt is a great help when it comes to deciphering the small but subtle differences of the Slovenian language. Intercultural exchange in and with Slovenia This is not just spoken in Slovenia but also in countries in which Slovenians live today, where they are recognised as indigenous minorities in some cases. As in Austria’s Carinthia, for instance, where some place signs display names in two languages. This means that anyone travelling to Austria can also impress locals with their newly acquired linguistic skills, and express their appreciation for the foreign culture. Even in Italy and parts of western Hungary, small minorities continue to honour and uphold Slovenian traditions. This is not just reflected in the language but also in the shared culture. Wine connoisseurs will appreciate Slovenia for the Terrano, a special variety of wine which can only be found in Slovenia. And the second largest city of Maribor is even listed in the Guinness Book of Records for the oldest grapevine in the world. Given its geographical location, the country's cuisine is also well diversified: In addition to Baltic influences, there is also no shortage of Mediterranean delicacies on the Adriatic coast. Whether it’s hearty stew, Carniolan sausage or tasty desserts such as slices of cream cake or curd cheese strudel – Slovenian cuisine will more than satisfy your appetite. Those who do not want to rely on the menu when in a restaurant, or who find it difficult to make a decision, can seek a personal recommendation from the proprietor. How lucky that a translation for Slovenian delicacies is direct to hand thanks to the Slovenian-German online dictionary – travellers will then know for sure what to expect on their plate when all is said and done. And for those looking to shine with their knowledge of the Slovenian language when in a restaurant, they can familiarise themselves beforehand with the country's typical dishes – and thanks to the read-aloud function in the dictionary from Langenscheidt, perfect pronunciation can also be practised. On a quest in Slovenian The people of Slovenia are generally very hospitable and well versed in foreign languages. Learn new words using games, fun quizzes etc. Given the country's history and the minorities that reside there, children learn English, German and Italian at school – meaning that many Slovenians are even versed in several foreign languages simultaneously. However, when entering rural regions and staring cluelessly at street signs or trying to find the right path when hiking through the low mountain ranges, this will only be of so much use. Quick support is then needed when deciphering Slovenian words and names. And even when Slovenians are quick to reveal their foreign language skills: who wouldn't be thrilled to be greeted politely by visitors in their country’s native tongue? At your desk or on the go With the free Slovenian-German online dictionary from Langenscheidt, those in search of help will find the right words at any time and in any place – whether via manual entry in the search box or using the index search. Regardless of whether at home, in the office or on the go via smartphone or tablet – simply search for the desired word and instantly receive the translation. This makes the Langenscheidt dictionary ideally suited for professional users such as translators, interpreters or linguistic experts, as well as for pupils, students and beginners. The vocabulary has been compiled and verified by Langenscheidt – and is absolutely reliable. Now nothing can get in the way of you learning the language and building your vocabulary. Macht in Summe maximal 1.800 Anschläge pro Seite. Als Schrift empfehle ich Courier, 11 Punkt, anderthalbzeilig. More Kript videos. Encrypt definition, to encipher or encode. Also, zunächst mal: cool down. Also, keine Panik! Also, schicken Sie es los! Nun ja, auslassen will. Den Gedankenstrich dage- He, da hat mich gerade was unterbrochen! Und deshalb nehme ich den 'abrupten' Strich. Wie kennzeichnet man im Manuskript Kursivschrift? Benutzt man tatsächlich kursive Courierschrift? Einklammerungen in Schrägstriche o.dgl. 60 Zeichen pro ZEILE erreicht man höchstens IM DURCHSCHNITT. Also: Anschläge sind Buchstaben UND Leerzeichen.
